With the discontinuation of Saturn in 2010, collectors have begun to acquire certain Sky models in order to hold for future value growth. After the model's introduction in 2006, consumers begged for more power and GM answered the call in 2007 with the red-line turbo edition. The Sky, manufactured by GM in Delaware, was aimed at providing an affordable modern roadster to consumers. Models were designed to be sporty and exciting and the Sky Roadster was a unique hit. Saturn was General Motor's first attempt in decades at manufacturing a totally different automobile from the ground up.
